Past Perfect Continuous Tense in Urdu

Definition:

Past perfect continuous tense wo hy jis say ye pata chalta hy k maazi me koi shuru huwa our phir jari raha, our kuch waqt k baad khatam huwa. Pr ab wo kaam nhi ho raha hy, ya ab us halat me nhi hy.

Past perfect continuous or Past continuous me ziyadah ferq nhi hy. Ferq sirf ye hy k Past continuous me dorania (time period) nhi aata, jese, 2 din se, 1945 se, etc. Lekin Past perfect continuous me dorania (time period) aata hy, jese, 5 din se, subah se, etc.

Signs of Past Perfect Continuous in Urdu:
Past perfect continuous tense ki Urdu me alamat ye hy k aakhir me amuman yeh alfaaz aatay hain:

  رہا تھا، رہی تھی، رہے تھے، اس حالت میں تھا، اس حالت میں تھا، اس حالت   میں تھے

Example Sentences:

1. .صبح سے بارش ہو رہی تھی

2. .وہ دوپہر سے کام کر رہا تھا 

3. .وہ 5 گھنٹے سے سو رہی تھی

4. .وہ بہت تھکے ہوۓ ہیں کیوں کہ وہ 2 سے چل رہے تھے

5. .ہم 1945 سے آسٹریلیا میں رہ رہے تھے، پھر ہم چین چلے گئے

6. .میں تمہارا 2 گھنٹے سے انتظار کر رہا تھا

7. .وہ شام سے پڑھائی کر رہا تھا

8. .وہ 2 دن سے بیمار تھا، اس لئے میں اسے ڈاکٹر کے پاس لے گیا

Translations:
1. It had been raining since morning.
2. He had been working since afternoon.
3. She had been sleeping for 5 hours.
4. They are very tired because they had been walking for 2 hours.
5. We had been living in Australia since 1945, then we moved to China.
6. I had been waiting for you for 2 hours.
7. He had been studying since evening.
8. He had been sick for 2 days, so I took him to the doctor.
