This means that you can't predict how a thing will happen or what an outcome will be. The answer to a question, or the outcome of a situation, will only reveal itself with the passage of time. For instance, will Pakistan win the world-cup? Only time will tell. / [ye to waqt hi bataey ga (k kiya hota hy)]
